Yep, we've all been there. At least I realized it after only putting in 4 screws, rather than after the casing was nailed and caulked in

This brightened my day. Glad you caught it before it was too late. I have the following message posted in a prominent location in my shop so that I read it several times each day…”If only I had been thinking…”.
