A while back, a case holding my Stanley No. 45, type 5....slid off the bench, heading for the concrete floor about 34" below....wasn't a pretty sight....busted out both hinges and some of the wood in-between them.....got tired of looking at that mess....lid was just sitting on the case...held in place by just the front latch....today, found a hinge of sorts...to tide things over, for now..

Meant more as a quick fix...did not have to be "pretty"....just had to keep the lid closed up..

So it can go back on the shelf, until needed for cross grain work.

Hopefully that is the correct screwdriver for this plane....don't have a ready supply of old catalogs to check it out.....

Was down in the shop, today....photo shoot for 2 plane cases....and see what I have for the next project...
