Once the ends were leveled up, and the long sides matched up...almost..

Kept checking...A small high spot here and there....used that Jack plane, keeping the heel ON a leveled spot, and plane the high spots down...Figured I could see IF that #79 will fit..

Lid now fits level all around...a couple marks to show where the hinges will go, and which way the lid sits...made a "^" across both about where a latch might go.....
Need a keeper of some sort...to keep the plane from sliding around in there..

Something like this...need to notch around the cutter/cap iron...and then glue it in place...

I added another one, that will sit under the handle...will let the glue cure a day or 2...
Got the bench all cleaned off, finally....only to "load it up", again....Start up for Box #2

Stanley No. 68 Marking Gauge (SW), a couple squares, a marking knife, and that 6" Stanley SW bevel gauge...and a pencil or two...I did get the first set of pins laid out..

And also got down a "Special Saw" to do the sawing with...

Bar acts as a depth stop...have it set at 1/2" deep. I can set this set with either the fine teeth, or the coarser Rip teeth...been a while, see IF I remember how to use it...
