    Quick and dirty mitre sled

I needed to make a mitre sled for cutting some 6x6 timbers. I screwed a pierce of plywood to a 2x4 sitting on edge. Then I bolted the 2x4 to the mitre gauge with two carriage bolts. Viola, a four foot long mitre slider. No fooling around with two runners or getting stuff square.

Simple is always better in my book. My most used miter sled is a piece of 1/2" BB, about 6" X 8", with a runner and fence screwed to it.
