    That's about 400 inches/minute, plenty fast for a machine like that.

    Yes, one has to pay attention to specification units in marketing materials, especially from vendors who don't specialize in a particular kind of tool. In the US, we generally speak of CNC movement speed in inches per minute not feet per minute.

    I was intrigued by the thread title and stopped to look...just a random drive-by comment:

    You guys are using very non-standard definitions for "movable", "storable", and "small".
    Yoga class makes me feel like a total stud, mostly because I'm about as flexible as a 2x4.
    "Design"? Possibly. "Intelligent"? Sure doesn't look like it from this angle.

    The conversation did evolve from the original premise...out of necessity. As with all tools, what one wants to do with it sets things in motion and some combinations just don't fit the need or can't really be done.
