    Festool Tool Score

Slowly buying up Festool brand via its recon store. This week I purchased a Festool Impact wrench(TID-18), tool only, for $159. Already had several batteries. This was supposed to be a bare tool, no battery or accessories, but when I opened the systainer, low and behold there was a 5.2 Ah battery attached. I assume it was left on the tool during testing by mistake. Anyway, the battery itself is valued at $130. Definitely not speeding the money to send back, so I call this a great score. I am sure I will get chastised though for not sending it back,

I had the opposite experience last week - got a bum TS55 from Recon where the locking mechanism had been jammed very hard and twisted the base plate. Likely dropped on the handle or something. Had some poor experiences with CS and sent it back. Bought a new one locally, glad to support my local guy.

    Nice score on the battery!
