    Ring box for my wedding

My wife reminded me a week before the wedding that I was supposed to be making a ring box for the special day, not ideal. So I whipped this off yesterday. Curly claro walnut, Lee valley pivot hinges, brusso brass knob. Ring pads are suede covered foam. Sanded to 3000 grit and finished in single coat of wipe on poly, mostly because I didn’t have time to grain fill and gloss polish lacquer.

Dang...if that's your work "under pressure"...I can't wait to see more when you have all the time you need! LOL Seriously, that's beautiful in both it's simplicity, the wonderful choice of materials and most importanly, the occasion! Congratulations!

Congratulations on both a fine box under pressure and the wedding! Best to you both!

Congrats on the wedding. And the lovely ring box.
I was married this past Saturday and made nothing for our day.

What I will say is that my expensive titanium ring has a big scratch in it after wearing it the day of. I switched it out for a silicone Groove ring the next day and I love this thing. It'll definitely be my everyday ring going forward.

Wow, that's pretty nice work for right before a wedding! Congratulations!

Beautiful box. IMO, filling the grain would have been a crime against that gorgeous piece of walnut.
