I have a porter cable dovetail jig, looks just like the Leigh jig accessories and all. Did porter cable build under license to Leigh. Does any one know the story.

Never heard of it, what is the Porter Cable model number. It has a flipping comb system and lines up with a cursor?
I wonder if "just like" may need some clarification. How about a quick snapshot?

it is a delta porter cable 77240. Omni jig. D0B330D8-54C6-497D-B052-1DCF3A5BA77B.jpg16F95D2E-366F-4BDF-A55B-019BEBE5F3D0.jpg5107750A-619D-49BA-8F29-900FAE8E95AB.jpg
I did find some videos about it. Just says discontinued. Not sure what the story is but it works good. Norm Abrams even did a video for them. I guess end of story.
Ok. Thanks , I guess I saw the bar and flip over fixture and jumped to the wrong conclusion

I've had them both. Pretty much the exact same system. The Porter Cable is sloppier and has some less refined features, like the endstop that screws into place instead of being machined into the main body. My PC did, however, have the really nice height gauge feature which made it a bit easier to return to a specific set up. I doubt licensing needs to be an issue as this system is well out of it's patent years. In my opinion, the Leigh is just a little better in the quality department.
