    Platform Bed Plans

I have been looking for useful platform bed plans and while I see pictures on the net, the actual plans do not seem to follow. Does anyone have a good source for this kind of thing? Ideally I would not like to build it on posts, but by using a smaller rectangle underneath the main bed to avoid stubbed toes, etc. Storage is also not an issue and if I can I would like the top to be completely flat - no ridges, etc. Am willing to use good stuff to build it.

    thank you

I don't have any plans but this is a king bed I made for my daughter and hubby. It's two long sections joined in the middle and plywood screws down across the top. It's very sturdy and dismantles for moving. It also has 2 drawers each side.

Woodsmith magazine has plans for a platform bed in issue #160, August 2005. I am preparing to utilize a portion of the drawings and "plan" to utilize my headboard vs build a different one.

Thomas I think "or attempted" to send you a message last night about the same.
