Thread: Selling Your Work

    Question Selling Your Work

I have several (woodworking) items I've made, but really don't want to take with me when I move. The items would be somewhat expensive to ship, so I'm looking to find a site to sell them on. I've tried Nextdoor and Facebook marketplace, but no luck so far. I've used Etsy before for small items like pens, but not sure that would be a good site for local pickup.

    Suggestions appreciated.

For local pickup I use Craigslist. I'm not on Facebook.

With your vague description, it's hard to give advice. Used woodworking items have to appeal to the right generation now. Amazing to see free pianos, entertainment centers, and grandfather clocks on Facebook Marketplace. I almost bought a solid oak entertainment center with 2 glass door side cabinets that the price had been lowered to $45. It would have made a tremendous tool cabinet, but it would take up too much floor space in my shop.

Offerup is a phone app that most younger people use now instead of Craigslist.
