How long after finishing a bowl with watch butcher block finish can I buff the bowl with a Beal buffer?

Can't speak to that specific product, but I find with varnish or poly finishes waiting a couple weeks works better than trying to do them right away. With shellac an hour or so seems like plenty.
I haven't used that finish either but with "danish" oil (BLO/poly/solvent) I wait at least a week after applying the final coat.
okay, I give up. what is BLO?
Oops, sorry. There are other versions of that finish that use different oils. BLO can be used by itself but as a finish it is usually mixed with some sort of varnish and some sort of solvent, often mineral spirits. I use straight BLO on wood around the farm - wooden barn doors, trailer beds, tool handles.Originally Posted by Lawrence Duckworth
BTW, I understand Linseed oil used to be boiled to allow it to cure properly. However, now it's treated with chemicals instead but still called "boiled".

Thank you all.
