That looks great! Is it plywood painted black or did you use a material?
I read recipes the same way I read science fiction. I get to the end and I think, "Well, that’s not going to happen."

That Fish looks like Vector Art from Design and Make collection and I own it. My guess the image is Copyrighted.

There are 'fair use' rules for copyrighted materials; Stan's use of artwork- teaching, commenting, personal use, etc.- falls under those rules...

Not to mention you can find thousands of similar images out there. I think without something unique to set it apart it would be very difficult to claim infringement.

I guess I was not clear in my post, since that image is available from Design and Make and many others it would seem just as simple to create your own post design. The scanning is a wonderful technology but it looks like a lot of work to clean up and get ready to cut.

Now I would like to find a way to scan or otherwise duplicate a rifle stock?

I don't have the gun yet, but all they had was the laminated stock one to ship.. Nice Ruger 17 HMR heavy barrel for prairie dog hunting. I had one of the touch probes but no way to use with Mach4. I am willing to pay for a 3D model STL file that I can use with my CNC router.
