Has anyone had experience working with bush honeysuckle wood? Its a beautiful orange pink and when cut into thin cookies is semi transparent sort of like the wood version of stained glass. I used some to make snow men Christmas tree ornaments and with the lights behind it you could really see just how translucent the wood was. Only problem is they cracked; a lot. I hadn't thought about this in a long time but was recently pruning a 200+ year old one with a trunk about a foot in diameter when I remembered my little arts and crafts project. The smell made me remember. It smells so good!
