    My 240-volt, Jet 16-42 EVS is a solid, dependable lathe. I don't think anyone mentioned it, but the headstock moves the entire bed length for outboard turning. Love this lathe.

    $1300-1600 seems to be the going rate for these, used. Parts and tech support are readily available.

    I would have had to pay $1500 or so with sales tax and all, at the high bid I left. I would have been willing to go a bit higher for a lathe I could see run, but since this was not possible I didn't want to take too much of a risk. It seems like a quite desirable model.
