    Odd combination

Heading out of town today, I pulled alongside a Dodge 3500 flatbed pickup towing a small travel trailer. The towing capacity was a bit of overkill and the bed contained two golf bags, a spare tire, and about 60 bd ft of rough sawn cherry. Try as I might, I could not come up with a unifying theme for his trip. Was it one of you guys?

Perhaps he/she combined a golf trip with a lumber buying trip?
It's called golf because all the other 4-letter words were taken

Maybe but how do you explain the spare tire?

If there is good stuff lying by the road, you gotta stop and take it home…

My initial thought was someone returning from an estate auction.

Estate auction is good. Something I would like for it to be with that combination is for the guy to be going to a woodworking class for his vacation and planning to camp nearby. He’s taking his own materials. He hopes to get a few rounds of golf with his wife either before or after. The spare is in the bed because those aftermarket flatbeds mess up hanging it underneath.
