    Upgrading a CO2 laser

    Hi
Is there some information about the differences between RECi tubes and glass tube lasers?

A RECI tube IS a glass tube laser, just one of many BRANDS of glass lasers.

The BIG difference in C02 lasers is whether they're DC fired (glass) or RF fired (metal/ceramic/$$$)

Glass lasers are simply a cheap alternative to expensive RF lasers....

Thanks for your reply. I was confused about the terminology.
Then, may I upgrade a glass tube with a RF fired tube to make my machine faster, more accurate or just better?

Yes, but it's cheaper in the longrun to just locate a good used RF laser - such as an Epilog, Universal, Trotec, GCC, Gravograph, etc... There's vastly more electronic hardware involved with RF lasers than glass lasers, and an RF machine's working hardware is much better in general too-
