    CAMHead Forum Issues?

    All -

A quick question. Does anyone know if there is an ongoing issue with the CAMHead forum?

As of a couple of days ago, the forum appears in a list format versus it normal format (like shown here at Sawmill Creek).

I cleared the last 7 days of history from my browser (Google Chrome) but it didn't help.

    Thanks.

Maybe try a different browser just to see if that helps.

    update:
I just tried Firefox browser and it looks like there is definitely a problem. The last time I logged in it certainly did not look like this.

Apparently they have a php error:
PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant MYSQL_NUM - assumed 'MYSQL_NUM' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in ..../includes/init.php on line 165

I will try to contact Thomas Mwangi this morning to let him know. Thomas owns CAMaster.

    Thanks, Guys.

That’s exactly what I was seeing when I tried to log on.

    Just got on CAMHeads.

The color format seems to have changed, but the forum is working fine

    I just spoke with Thomas.

The CAMheads forum is going through a vBullitin upgrade.
It's not unusual to have to upgrade several support programs when new versions of vBulletin are issued. We have been through the upgrade problems many times here at The Creek. Thomas has people working on their server and they expect to have their forum back online with all of the bugs worked our shortly.

Don't be surprised if the forum is online one minute and down the next while they get all of the upgrades configured.

Camheads is slowly "getting there" and is nearly back to full functionality. This was a major rebuild from scratch and, um..."unplanned", meaning it "broke big time"...from a very old version to the latest version. Some things actually work correctly now that were not necessarily doing so in the old version. There are some differences in the UI, but that's to be expected, given there was no "evolutionary" path from the old to the. new...it was all in one shot, rather than incrementally through various versions.

I belong to a tractor forum that a few months ago was forced into doing a major upgrade because the version they were using was so old it wasn't supported and if, I should say when, it broke it was going to be a nightmare to fix. Even Sawmill is running an older version of vBulletin (but upgradeable) so we could see this site getting an update.

It's getting smoother, Eugene, as all the parts and pieces are finally put back together after Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall. LOL
