    Exclamation PHILIPS CPAP recall

Just got an email from my CPAP supplier with a recall for my Phillips CPAP machine. Luckily I have a second travel machine a Resmed Air Mini which is not affected by the recall. Just a heads up to anyone out there with a Philips machine, just in case you didn't get a notification, the recall also affects ventilators.

Yes, I stumbled across a Youtube video about it -- haven't heard anything from my supplier yet. The Youtube channel "Cpap Reviews" (not affiliated) has a couple of good videos about the why of it. Phillips has a web site where you can enter your serial number and it will tell you if it's part of the recall. If it is, you can register. I did that about a week or two ago, but have not heard anything back. The unit affected is the Dreamstation One.
It's called golf because all the other 4-letter words were taken

Yeah, I registered my machines yesterday, I'll have a look for the Youtube videos you referenced. I also use a Soclean 2 unit which uses ozone to disinfect and apparently contributes to the problem. Other than discontinuing using it, not sure what to do about it.

This forum was the first place I heard about this, so thanks everyone. Philips phone line has so far been impossible to crack.

Have you tried the Philips website? I had no problem registering my machines. I'm lucky, I have a second travel machine (Resmed Air Mini) which is not affected but for those with just one of the affected machines and severe sleep apnea or breathing problems requiring a ventilator this is serious. Realistically I don't expect to get my machine fixed for many months perhaps a year from now.
