    That's a Lot of Lumber

A friend posted this earlier today. Just one truckload would make me a very happy man.

Historical Notes: Greatest single truck shipment of lumber ever moved over American highways at one time parades through Los Angeles streets as 100 motor trucks and trailers, carrying almost a million board feet representing a year's supply for Universal Studios, is escorted across town from Los Angeles Harbor by a convoy of police.

Gosh, i feel awfully sorry for the horses. I would have expected a much larger team . . . .

I have to wonder if the 'only 2 horses' was just for the sake of a good pic? (but then, there's quite a few such pics, and most always it's 2 horses!)

And it's cordless. That is why the giant sequoias were felled by dynamite and turned into grape stakes. The wood shattered when it fell down anyways. they are now trying tree farms of giant sequoia to be cut before they get too tall.
