Remove spindle from MAX OVS

Hi, I'm trying to remove the pivot from a MAX OVS that I bought a few years ago. I added a small amount of oil to the gearbox but now the spindle cannot be taken out. There is a safety nut that is attached to the spindle via a drift pin that the previous owner may have cut out and a spindle nut underneath. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
