A project on the horizon will involve using hot rolled steel with the mill glaze. It will be outside and I'm looking for a clear finish, preferably low sheen, to reduce rusting. Durability is important. I've found one but it runs $170 a gallon and I need about a quart. Any suggestions?

It looks interesting but my local PPG dealer doesn't carry any industrial products and I'm having difficulty finding it online in a clear. I did find the Permalac family of coatings from Peacock Labs (https://permalac.com/). Any experience?

No, sorry, no experience with Permatec or any solvent based products.
