A Table for in the Gazebo

So when I sit down in the Gazebo to enjoy the afternoon, and maybe sip a cold one.....I'd have a place to set it down between sips.......and maybe a place to set a plate-full of food from the grill...

Bag of Charcoal at the ready, even....

Lumber that shows is Ash....inside stuff is Pine..bead details are on the bottom edges of the aprons, and running down the outside corner of the legs...

Drawer works just fine. Drawer front uses half blind dovetails....drawer back uses a dado...

Stain is called "Gunstock", by Minwax....and there be 2 coats of Clear Gloss Poly over that...

Legs are tapered along two faces. Legs are joined to the aprons via mortise & tenon joints..

back end was a bit on the grainy side

Top has wide bread board ends....

had to make the legs as a glue up....didn't have any 8/4 Ash on hand...

I need to shop for a few coasters, to set any cold drinks on.....and maybe place mats for any plates of food....from when we have a cookout.

That is a nice looking build Steve . . . and some very sweet figure in that cherry!

Primary Lumber used is Ash, secondary lumber is Pine. Stain is called Gunstock, sold by Minwax.....brush on, allow to sit a bit, then wipe down. Then 2 coats of Clear Gloss Poly, sanded between coats.

Nice table, now you need to work on a couple of chairs to replace those Walmart specials.

Very classy piece there Steve. I wonder if it gets wind blown rain in your gazebo? Hate to see a nice table get wet.

Gazebo has screened in curtains to prevent that.

    Thanks for looking in!
