Interesting discussion. Good luck finding metal window screen, all I could find local a summer or two ago was nylon. Not sure I totally trust the power off feature on my phone, don't use/ haven't activated my voice assistant.

You can buy "hardware cloth" a wide range of mesh sizes. For example, check under "insect screen" here: https://www.darbywiremesh.com/

I'd buy copper since seams can be easily soldered. Years ago I watched the construction of a faraday cage room for a special use - copper mesh under wall, ceiling, and floor coverings. The door was part of the cage too.
I have a supply of 1/8" mesh hardware cloth made from galvanized steel for beehive use.

    Keyless entry

I'm not sure of other vehicle manufactures, on my Ford pick-up, once I unlock it, or, remotely start it, I still need to insert the key and turn it to the on position before the steering wheel will unlock and and the truck will move.

Is the off-on button an analog device? Or does the phone have to be "on" to some extent for the on-off button to work?
