    Rehandled my first chisel!

Quite pleased with the result. Made from ash. First attempt failed, was way crooked. I don't have a drill press so not easy to get the hole straight. Second try I used a brace instead of the electric drill, the long auger bit made it easier to keep straight by eye. It's not perfect, does not seat flush against the bolster all the way around, but seems to work ok so far. Anyway it's better than the old handle which would fall off every time I tugged on it

Steven, if you are carving the handle, if is easier to start with the mortice/hole for the tang, and then shape the handle around this. Then you are sure to get all straight. The same goes for using a lathe.

It looks better than some of my pigsticker handles.
