Craigslist Clamp Gloat

Just gloating here - last week I was first in line to score these from a seller less than an hour away:

4) 50" Besseys
4) 48" Jorgensens
2) 36" Dewalts QuickGrip-style
2) 24" Irwin QuickGrip-style
and 2 little Bessey bar-style clamps

All for $250!
When I picked them up he said he thought he would give woodworking a try, but discovered he just didn't have the time to invest. He was also very surprised at the interest in the clamps!
I also purchased a like new Bosch top handle jigsaw from the same guy for $50, but that's going to a friend who's just getting into woodworking. His active listings still include an assortment of 34 router bits (many never used) for $200 - that's less than $6/bit!
Now I have to expand my clamp rack. Woe is me.

I am going to predict there’s going to be a strong used market in the near future. I believe a lot of people had woodworking dreams that grew to big too fast.

There's a part of me that hopes you are right. Well...most of me hopes that. Then there's that little bitty piece of sanity that knows i'll spend way too much money if that happens!!
