Agree with all. Another treatment that was used for the inside back is cloth or wall paper. Put up with tacks for easy change out. They looked for
color and brightness as well as nice wood and utility.

Very cool piece Ed. 2nd what Ken said - the painted interior really makes the cherry in the the upper section pop. Well done.

Overall, beautiful Ed. I love the grain. I like the painted interior. I don't like the sapwood in those top door rails. IMO they detract from what otherwise is a very nice piece.
