Sam Maloof Inspired Tea Party Chair

    Hello all..

Finally back on to SawMill after a moving hiatus to Santa Fe, NM.

Wife got a bit tired of me building dark wooded furniture: Walnut, Mahogany, etc... So decided to built this chair of ASH, got some slabs (35-40 bdf) for $5.00 a BDF. Found ASH to be very hard and taking a toll on most machinery!

It's a Sam Maloof inspired chair that has his joinery, final coating using polyurethane wiping and some Turquoise inlay for deep wooden cracks.

Great looking chair. Very nicely done. Love the small bits of turquoise fill. Well done.

I'm such a fan of three leg chair designs! Great work on that one!
