    As an aside.....

    When I was in college as an undergrad, Dr. Shankland taught one of the physics courses that all engineering students were required to take. It was a fairly rigorous class and he was known for being pretty tough on students.

    One day a classified add appeared in the college weekly newspaper: Wanted: quantum mechanic. Must have own tools. See Dr. Shaftman in the physics department.
