Backsaw handle replacement

I finished replacing the handle on my son's gent's saw, using the handle mentioned in the "first backsaw handle " thread (https://sawmillcreek.org/showthread....backsaw-handle).

This is the original saw, with the handle he found a bit awkward to use:
