    Carving #4

Now that I'm over 60, I thought I might need a plaque to remind me who I am. . Hand carved Mahogany. My 4th carving.

Wow Tom. That would look good for a hundreth carving. How did you lay everything out on the wood? By eye or a stencil?

Thanks Michael. I did it by eye. The size of the wood set the boundaries. Then I drew the outline shape I wanted. Then sized templates to be traced onto it. Took a while to get the name right. Started with just fonts and then saved as an jpg. Then I could stretch/expand the jpg word to suit the look/area I wanted.

Thanks for the explanation Tom. It came together really nice with the shape, and different features you added to it.

That is handsome ,and more dignified than the brass plates that used to be near the bank doors that opened by magic. Love the leaf point at
the bottom , middle of heart.
