I may have to 'borrow' that idea Glen. My saw is on a permanent base like yours, and I have a blade cabinet under the table, which I could replace with a larger cabinet by losing the legs.

Funny timing. I just picked up a box of elevator bolts for just this type project.

True. But I"m not going to worry about it at this point. The long term plan is back to a slider when I have a building up. The PCS may stay for some dedicated purpose if space allows or I'll pass it on to another woodworker in the same way I acquired it. It's a really good tool...I just prefer a slider for multiple reasons.

That cabinet setup under the table, etc., really works nicely!

Perfect. I keep a few on hand as they seem to come in handy now and again. I will have four total support piers on mine. Overkill maybe but the distributed weight makes less work for any given point.

I used the cove technique on the tablesaw to make the spacer blocks.

    Glenn,

Have been following along with interest and appreciate you taking the time to show all the small details like your spacer blocks (classy, BTW!). And must be a great feeling to get the table saw piped in. And I do have to say that I'm very happy with my stock PCS, but you showing all that cast iron has me thinking...

    Best,
    Chris

Nice job with the coves for the spacer blocks. I weaseled out and just used flexible DC hose, which I'm now ashamed of.

Once I am satisfied the insulation, wallboard and overhead supports will go in. I will also add something to keep the bats and birds from making a bad choice as to where to settle in

If it's not already planned, you'll want at least a 45º downturn on that exterior outlet so that any direct sound is, um...directed...toward the ground, rather than to any humanity off in that direction. It also keeps rain out. Good call on critter guards...

Second vertical member is complete pipe-wise. Now I can add the electrical wire ways.

Got some work done on the vertical power. Hope to finish both by EOD tomorrow.

Glenn, do you have a link to the plans for that vac hose reel that you have on the wall? I need to make something like that.

I split my outside vents to 2=6" dryer type vents that close when its not on. It also comes out High above my garage doors on either side of my driveway lights, at 18' or so the sound is not bad. Anything bigger the wife may have gotten mad. I believe bees or something could get in but if I run it they usually go

Glenn is that a dust bin monitor on the wall?

Also I was wondering if it would make sense to have a Manual damper between the shop and shed and a bypass to allow you to filter instead of dump. I've never had HVAC in a shop, but it is $$$ you dump if you send air outside. I definitely would only do this in the coldest and hottest months. I would monitor your power consumption and this could be an option if the cost is too outrageous.
