    This is a cabinet that i made 40 years ago. The shelves are fixed. This would work for the verticals in your project. Something like this; The vertical is 1/8" deep into a dado and then continues in the form of through tenons, glued and cross-wedge.

    The humidor will have about 20 drawers, each about 3x7, 9" deep. I figure it'll hold about about 500 Churchills. Wish I could afford to corner the market on La Gloria Cabanas (or El Rey Delmundo's) , but alas I lack the funding.

    thanks a decent idea Mark - I'll keep it in mind and use it somewhere.

    Already prepared the sides for the loose tenons.

    Since this is going to be on legs, gravity will be almost enough with no glue or joinery. Stopped dado would be my choice.
