I just completed these two Hank chairs the other day and installed them in my office yesterday. The design is from Jory Brigham, while the plans (and video instructions) are available via The Wood Whisperer.
The overall construction isn't that difficult, however the lack of right angles makes for some very interesting glue-up strategies. Some of the cuts require complex setups, and I felt my use of a sliding table saw was a benefit over what someone with a traditional saw would have to do. The final glue-up is also a bit nerve-racking, as you can probably imagine.
The material is walnut, in case you couldn't tell. The finish is Seal-A-Cell, followed by Satin Arm-R-Seal, all wiped on. The upholstery was done by my wife, and came out really well.
And, yes, that's a LEGO Millennium Falcon next to the one chair (and a barely visible LEGO Eiffel Tower next to the other chair). My office has a lot of LEGO sets on display, most of them Star Wars themed.
