Glue for flush trim door pull

I'm installing new pocket doors and lost two of the 3/4 stainless steel escutcheon pins meant for installing the flush door pulls. Of course I cannot find replacements anywhere on the internet. The manufacturer, Emtek, says I have to buy another door pull just to get the two pins. That just doesn't feel right to me and since the pins don't work that well anyway I'm thinking of just gluing them in. Would I use construction adhesive or is something else better? I guess they'll be no removing them once glued but I guess I shouldn't worry about that.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Amazon has all kinds of SS rod for way less than your pull. Make your own pins.

Where are the pins — inside the finger hole? You could use brass pins, and nobody would ever notice. Brass escutcheon pins are readily available.
