Hey all,

I received this Defiance Smooth Plane years ago from another woodworker on this forum under the premise that I would use it to teach woodworking to my kids. Now my kids are 17 and 20 and haven’t shown much interest in woodworking so it’s time to pass it on.

I’m going with the same premise here in that I want the recipient to use it to teach woodworking to the younger generations. It could be your kids, grandkids, neighborhoods kids, etc. Once you are done with it, please pass it on in the same manner.

It is a Defiance Smooth Plane by Stanley.

Doug - I'll take you up on that offer. I have a couple of young teenage grandsons that are starting to spend time in my shop and just this evening we ran across a project that they could use it on. I'll gladly pay for shipping.

Frank, I can’t say that I was the originator of this idea but I’m hoping Mike can get his grandsons interested. My kids did a little woodturning but showed no interest in anything else 🙁....
