I am finishing up an ottoman that is 18" square, and to me looks too blocky. So I rounded over the edges of the legs 5/16r, and tapered the legs 2 degrees. Being made of pine I wanted the edges to be more durable then being sharp edged. And I chamfered the other edges approximately 1/8".

Rounded edges can be an important feature, but straight edges look really good at times too. I think you should do whichever pleases you Tom. That little endstand looks great the way it is.

I am finishing a cover for a cast iron radiator. It was made from scrap wood I had available including the butcher block top. I am usaully a break the edge guy, but in the case of the top I thought a major roundover would look good. I used a 1/2" roundover router bit and like the result for this situation. I'm curious what other folks think pro or con.

P.S. The top has no finish and the cover has yet to be painted.
