Makita LS1019L: Which adapter to connect to 2 1/2 inch hose?

    Hello,
Wondering how others who own this saw have connected it to dust collection. The port on the saw seems to be about 1 1/8 OD...and I would like to connect to a 2 1/2 inch flexible hose. Has anyone found an adapter that will do this?
    Thanks!
    Izzy

I have the 1013 and found a vacuum hose that fit around it and the other end went into my shop vac hose perfectly. It was a blue cheap wal—mart vac from many years ago that was going to be for vacuuming out the cars but was too loud.

I have a 1013 as well and a Bosch 3931 shop vac (older model). I also have a Hoover upright vacuum (20+years old) and one of its accessories is a 15’ extension hose that connects perfectly to the shop vac and saw with an adapter.

  4. My Festool CT extractor hose fits perfectly, not sure the OD but should be able to find it. I will measure when I get to the shop.

Find a local woodturner and have them turn an adapter for you.

Izzy there are several off the shelf options. I’d suggest getting a dedicated hose, or at the least upgrade what you’ve got.

I know this works because I have it setup on my 1019.

think it might have been recently discontinued, so might be tough to find. Ridgid makes a similar kit at H. Depot.

    this should work nicely

I use my small shop vac with my 1013 and the tapered end of the vac extensions fits into the dust port on the 1013.

Rockler sells some Flexiport adapters that fit small (~1"-1.5") ports. I've used one for a portable sander.
