    trash can is ...full..
    Door build 101, trash canned.JPG
As full as I'd want to try and carry back upstairs...

Panels are out of their clamps...flattened and cleaned up ( easier to trim to size, that way)..
    Door build 101, 1st panel.JPG
One panel wasn't too bad..the other one had..issues..
    Door build 101, knotty.JPG
    Jack plane was busy...
    Door build 101, flatten a panel.JPG
Trimmed the panels to size, on the tablesaw....then raised the panels on the tablesaw..
    Door build 101, 4 cuts done.JPG
Then the rebate on the inside of the panels..
    Door build 101, needs planed.JPG
Tablesaw made two cuts per rebate...handplanes ( #78 and that #71-1/2) to fine tune the fits...
    Door build 101, fits better,now.JPG
Door build 101, needs fine tuned.JPG
Depending on grain direction....Was a bit too worn out...to try a glue up....maybe Monday or better yet...Tuesday I can get two doors glued up?

    Stay tuned...

Today being a Monday....shop is usually closed on Mondays...Have a visit to the Blood Thinner Clinic this afternoon....finger will be getting poked, again. Will see how that turns out, and how bored I get afterwards, before I see about any glue ups going on...
Door build 101, corners lined up.JPG
Not sure IF two hands will be enough....about 24 clamps need to be ready....and 16 cauls...

We'll see....if'n you hear a lot of cussing going on, something was going on

Ok, made a supply of these cauls..
Door build 101, corner clamp cauls.JPG
Small...yes, because of where they will be used...
    Door build 101, corner clamp.JPG
Couple of spots also needed a thin strip glue in-between the 2 main parts of a corner joint....

C clamps also gave a "stand-off" for the rest of the clamps to use..
Door build 101, glue up done.JPG
Door #1 was glued up, allowed to cure overnight....when the clamps came off, happened to recheck how square it tuned out...
    Door build 101, almost squared.JPG
    Meh...fixable...do better with Door #2....

3rd hand helps out...then I can hold a square in the corner...
Door build 101, 3rd hand, glue up start.JPG
Until the cauls and clamp are set..
    Door build 101, 1st corner clamped up.JPG
Turn it around, do the second corner, and slide the panel in place....
Door build 101, 2 corners, slide the panel in.JPG
And then try the other side.....then add the F style clamps.....
    Door build 101, 2nd door glued up.JPG
You can see door #1 sitting down on the floor, in front of the cabinet's case.

    Stay tuned for Part 2...

Used a few extra clamps...trying to push/pull things to square....I hope....
    Door build 101, 10 clamps.JPG
Let this sit awhile....and sand the first door smooth...
Door build, 1st door sanded down.JPG
Fill in a couple bad spots...
Door build 101, side view door #1.JPG
And try to decide IF this sort of handle is too big....
Door build 101, too small, too big, hmmm.JPG
Not fancy enough ( for a bathroom?) Too small? Waiting on Door #2 to cure, and then see about some hinges.....and what flavour stain to use.....Medicine Cabinet over the sink has a "Golden Oak" sort of look..

    Stay tuned...

Maybe, once Lunch is settled...I can go to the shop, and work on Door #2? Remove the clamps, clean it up...that sort of thing? Need the case to get up off the floor, and the doors hinged...we'll see how things go..

Door #2 is out of the clamps...
    door build 102, door #2 front.JPG
    Even the inside looks good..
    door build 102, door #2, inside.JPG
Laid both doors up on the case...
    door build 102, 2 door set up.JPG
Something wasn't quite right.....turned out the case itself was out of square....so, NOW I need a plywood back panel, to pull it into square....glue and screw sort of thing...

Hinges on door #1 have been mortised in place..
    door build 102, hinged.JPG
    Door #1` has been installed...
    door build 102, door stop..JPG

Waiting on the plywood panel, before Door #2 is installed...

    Stay tuned...

Plywood has been bought, and trimmed to size. Screws were bought as well....Set a factory corner up at the top...and see which way the case needs to be pulled into square...glue and screws along one edge
Door install 101, back fix started.JPG
Center line of screws was added after the next step was done.....grab a big pipe clamp...
Door install 101, case pulled into square.JPG
And PULL...until that gap closes up....or the plywood edge is even with the bottom shelf...then glue and screws to keep things in place....including the bottom and middle shelves. Flip the case over...
Door install 101, doors line up better.JPG
And check how well the doors line up. Hmmm, much better than they were....Need a pair of holes drilled..
Door install 101, towel rod installed.JPG
To install a towel bar....then work on Door #2's hinges.....must have gotten a bit rough at one point....latch stile had come loose So, I had one more repair to do, after the hinges were done..
    Door install 101. Door #2 installed, repaired.JPG
    Yep....one those days..
    Guinness Extra STOUT.JPG
Close up shop, call it a day. need to shop for a latch that will FIT across both doors, that works, and not look like a big clunky lock from a bank...

Need to sand the entire cabinet down to 220 grit....and mix up a batch of stain....need to install the shelf bracket under the top of the case....a second one is place at the bottom, on the wall first. Case is to be set on the bottom bracket, plumbed up, then the top bracket will get screwed to the wall....

Stay tuned....still a week to go...

Hmmm, clamps came off, just long enough for me to drill a pair of holes...then they squeezed two knobs into place..
    Door Install, Knob installed.JPG
Let these sit a bit....while I get other items set up....later, clamps came off..
    Door Install, 2 knobs.JPG
Roughly centered...MKII Eyeball. Had these two items...
    Door Install, won't work.JPG
neither of which would fit, nor look right....have these, though..
    Door Install, New in Bag.JPG
    One per door...
    Door Install, latch parts.JPG
mark and start the holes for the screws...
    Door Install, screw starter.JPG
Install the magnet part, close the door to set where the plate will go..
    Door Install, plate installed.JPG
Install the plate. repeat for the other door....

    Next..
    Door Install, hanger brackets.JPG
These will be installed, so I can then screw through them and into a wall stud...one problem...
    Stay tuned to find out

Ok..a problem with installing one of the hanger brackets....bottom bracket was fine, easy to get to..
    Door Install, bottom hanger.JPG
Attached to the underside of the bottom shelf...the top hanger bracket goes inside, and underneath the top shelf....

    The problem here?
    Door Install, drill too big.JPG
Drills don't fit....Hmmmm, we have ways..
    Door Install, angle driver.JPG
Angle driver...set up with a Phillips bit...
    Door Install, driver set up.JPG
Forgot to do any pilot holes....toke a few tries, and a lot of wax on the threads...but...
Door Install, Top hanger, inside of case.JPG
The two red "holes" will go through and into the wall stud...right on through the plywood back. Metal bracket insures that the heads of the screws will not pull through the back of the case. Bracket carries the weight of the case.

Intend to spend most of tomorrow doing the Sanding Chores.....down to 220 grit...and see about mixing up a batch of stain.....

Almost time to hang this on the wall

    Stay tuned..

cabinet was sanded with first 100 grit, then 220 grit.....then I mixed a batch of stain up....One stain was way too dark, the other was way too light, and red.....about a 50/50 blend

Then brushed it on the inside..
    That Cabinet, open the doors.JPG
    Trying not to miss anything....
    Then did the outside....
    That Cabinet, closed up.JPG
Again, trying not to miss anything....including my shirt...

Top of the top shelf...seems to be something going on with the grain...
    That Cabinet, sanded and stained.JPG
Letting this dry a day...and see how it looks.....still have the batch of stain stored away,,,just in case I did miss a spot....or have to fix a glue spot....

Then see about a coat of a clear gloss poly....

    Stay tuned...

Bathroom Cabinet, Project Post, doors closed.JPG
Unable to bring the tripod along, but....opened the doors...
Bathroom Cabinet, Project Post, doors open.JPG
Thing is heavier than it looks....4 screws holding it to the wall stud...
    Bathroom Cabinet, hung, project post.JPG
Close the doors, until the Boss decides what to fill it up with...

This is what the area looked like, before...
    Bathroom Cabinet, corner defects.JPG

Really nice cabinet that fits the space well. I’m always impressed with your dispatch. You complete projects before I can clear my bench.
