    Boot jack gift

This boot jack was made for a lifelong friend who said he has increasing difficulty removing his boots after shoveling snow. It is ~14" long and tilted at 12 degrees. Finish is wiped on original Waterlox after a very thin coat of shellac. I found the design on line. I am considering making more for other friends and family (who live in the snow belt or have farms) since it only requires a 17" long piece of 4/4 lumber that is 4" wide.

P.S. I am sorry that the image is inverted. I have tried to rotate and save as new file on my laptop and it is still inverted. What gives?
Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

Great project and gift. The use of a really nice piece of wood (appears to be curly maple?) makes it far nicer than the utilitarian ones you often see in gift shops, etc. Well done.

Great project. A very worthy gift.
