    Stainless Steel white engraving

My fiber friends, I have an issue that I have to have some help with and I KNOW someone out there can help me. I am trying to burn white using my 50watt fiber laser which I've been able to donin the past but now there are areas on the discs of little or no burn.
Any idea why and what can be done ?

Hmm... focus? lens need cleaning? have you tried moving the piece to a different area in the engraving field? different make-up of the material? The only time I had temperature affect engraving was using CO2, but maybe fiber can need more power when the parts are very cold?
