    Floating Wall Shelf With Drawers

My first project post for awhile and my first finished piece of 2021. This floating wall shelf is made of live edge Red Oak, salvaged and re-sawn Doug Fir 2 X4 for the draw case, drawer bottoms and back. The drawer fronts are spalted Maple with Ash sides and back. All lumber except for the Doug Fir was milled by me about 6 years ago. All work was down with hand tools. Sorry for the low quality photos, I tried.

Very nice Dale. The wood combo is great, as is the workmanship. Creative idea that I may have to "borrow".

I like it, especially the continuous grain on the drawer fronts.

Very clever design. I may have “borrow” it, too. Thank you for sharing your work.

Great piece, Dale. Nice way to start off 2021. Just out of curiosity, how did you attach the drawer unit to the slab?

Nice. That took some careful measuring/alignment. Well done!

I really like this. The pulls are a nice feature, and the spalted grain and live edge all work well together
