    Delta 1460 Lathe Motor

    I have a Delta 1460 lathe, with the countershaft; I want to buy a 1hp motor and I'm looking for suggestions.
    I will do mostly spindle turning; bowl turning would be a rare event, I think

    I would buy a three phase motor and use a VFD to get variable speed.
