I use the little shop made mallet on the right. It has leather faces.

Seems to work for setting the wedges. That wooden mallet? I turned it ( back when I had a lathe) from Spalted Maple....may have to turn a new one...someday...

Small brass head hammer is an Xacto.....Brass and plastic heads are all I have left of the 6 heads it came with...

    Missing from the group...is a 16oz curved claw hammer...with a Hickory handle.

Cross pean is a "Riveting" hammer....and about THE best hammer for small nails and brads...and nail sets...

This is a bronze head I made about 7 years ago. The head is 7/8” dia and just under 2 1/2” long, one end flat the other is curved.

Harbor Freight brass on one end, rubber on the other. Works great and I think it was 5 bucks.
