    filling slab cutting board

I cut a slab into cutting board with handle. It's still in the rough, just flattened, sanded to 80 and cut to shape right now. There are some small worm holes and other cracks that I want to fill before going to town making it glass smooth. This particular one will be used for wall art in a kitchen While food safe isn't as important for this one but I would like a food safe resin for other boards I plan to make that might be in contact with food.

Any thoughts on a food safe resin. I was thinking west system with their 410 filler but looking for options.

Pretty much any resin you would likely use will be "food safe" once cure, just like any finish you can buy today.

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...

When considering the cost of materials, I consider the value of the finished piece.

Yes of course - and it's also part of the hobby.
