    No, didn’t try that. These are 4-bulb fixtures and all 4 bulbs did the same thing (twice!) so I figured it was something to do with the ballast being too old or incompatible. Maybe I’ll take another stab at it and add one bulb at a time and flip them as needed

    When I used a few of them, I did have a fixture that seemed wonky and reversing the "tube" fixed it. That's why I mentioned it just for grins.
