    Just a box made from Cedar

    Nothing real fancy...

    Each lid has a locking ring for the brass hasp...box may come in useful at the Grill...

    6-1/4" tall by 6-1/2' by 11"....Aromatic Red Cedar....mainly for the colour and the grain...might come in useful?

    Turns out, this may be the last Project using Aromatic Red Cedar......skin reactions on the backs of my hands....seems to be clearing up, since I stopped messing with this wood.....

    Never had this happen before...times change, I guess....well....I could go back to makings things in Pine, and Ash.....might see about some Maple, again...

    Cedar is also irritating to bugs which accounts for its common use. Nice box and a good idea for a grill accessory. Thanks for sharing.

    steven, what did you use for a finish on this, if any? Most of finished cedar stuff I've seen is with a high gloss film finish, which I think looks awful, and oil finishes make it an ugly dark color.

    2 coats of Minwax Clear Gloss Poly...320 grit between the coats...rubbed down with 0000 steel wool after the second coat was dry...
