    A Book Some May Like

    When watching old movies, my wife or often it is me who will pause to look at architectural details or period furniture. These things might be of interest to only a few.

    When ordering a few other items from Lee Valley a book on markdown was spotted:

    Most of the illustrations are in black & white. Some of the illustrations also mention the number of cannon carried on ships meant for such engagements. Some are in color:

    It makes me think of a book on railroad propulsion units (train engines) bought many years ago from a markdown table at a bookstore in San Francisco. One of my BART co-workers asked if he could barrow it. After he had it for a week or so he thanked me and said he didn't intend to give it back.

    My tendency is to not loan out books unless it is a duplicate or it won't bother me greatly if it doesn't come back.
