Does CA glue finish hold up on kitchen tool handles?

I've used CA glue to finish pens so familiar with the process. Will it hold up under heavier use on kitchen tools, like pizza cutters, pepper mills, serving tools etc.? I've only used oils on tool handles before, but want to see if I can get a high gloss finish with CA on things that might get wet or banged around in use.

    Thanks

I've made several knife kit kitchen knives that see daily use for at least 5 years. No dishwasher though. While I don't do a "high gloss" finish like a pen, I just put several coats of CA and they hold up. They do get a bit banged up, but when I see wear, a few swipes of 320 grit and a couple coats of CA and back to new. I refinished my oldest knife once, and one more, and that's about it.
I think it's far more durable than an oil finish. I put oil on my very first kit.

I agree with Kyle. The thing I also do when using CA for a high gloss finish is to top it with a buffed coat of Carnauba wax.
