    A Little Redwood

    First time I ever turned redwood. Kind of soft, but I still like it.

    15" x 3" platter or shallow bowl. Light figure. BLO and POLY finish, only one coat so far.

    Sorry that second picture's so big.... don't know why.... The other one sized okay.

    Adam - The bigger the picture the better. Especially when it has such wonderful figure as this one does. I like it. A lot.

    Beautiful! Just curious, is that some redwood that was meant to be turned or is it some redwood that came from a board like you could buy at Home Depot or something?

    Great job. I love red wood. I have question for ya. did it turn well? I have only turn very small chunks of for bird house and found it to be soft and it come apart easy. Now that could just be the stuff I was working with. What did you think?

    looks beautiful! Great job. I am interested in what the others asked also concerning hardness and turnability. I like the big picture also.
