Twenty or more years ago I made a birch Campaign Desk with more drawers in it than I can count. I finished the project with Watco Danish Oil. It looks good, but even after all these years the drawers all have the petroleum smell of the Danish Oil. Any thoughts on the best way to seal the drawer interiors? Not a super fan of shellac, and afraid it might change the color or sheen (currently no sheen at all). Thanks for the advice!
